Goldbod Jewellery has started a program called 'Heritage Village'. This program wants to refine gold and make jewellery inside Ghana. This is to stop Ghana from losing money by exporting raw gold and buying finished jewellery from other countries.
Ghana sold about GHS20 billion worth of raw gold in 2025. But Ghana still spends a lot of money to buy finished jewellery every year. Goldbod Jewellery wants to change this. They will refine, design, and brand gold products in Ghana.
The company also introduced gold tablets. These are 24-carat gold, 99.99% pure. They are sold as an investment product. The aim is to show that Ghana can make luxury goods and get more benefits from its natural resources.
The Vice President supported this plan. She said it helps local businesses and adds value to Ghana’s gold. She asked Ghanaians to buy local jewellery and gold products. This will help strengthen Ghana's industry.
