Hundreds of Christian women have been asked to pray for Ghana’s leaders. This call came during the annual Ho Presbytery Women’s Ministry Convention. The event took place at the Global Evangelical Church Convention and Prayer Centre. It was held near Ho in the Volta Region.

The convention brought together women from many Global Evangelical Church congregations. Its aim was spiritual renewal and teaching. The theme was “Preach Christ and His Second Coming: Dealing with Little Foxes.” The Municipal Chief Executive of Ho, Stephen Adom, made the appeal. He spoke about the country navigating economic and social challenges. Mr. Adom stressed the vital role women play. They shape families and communities through prayer and moral leadership.

Mr. Adom stated that public officeholders carry enormous responsibilities. They make difficult decisions for citizens. He asked the women to pray for leaders’ wisdom and protection. He also prayed for God’s guidance and the fear of God in their work. The government works to solve national issues. However, faithful believers’ prayers are essential. They promote peace and national development, according to Mr. Adom. This appeal highlights the intersection of faith and governance in Ghana. It reflects a belief in spiritual support for national progress. The country is experiencing economic headwinds, making such calls significant.

Mrs. Semenyo Bans Lagble, the Ho Presbytery Women’s Ministry Leader, described the convention as important. It allows women to fellowship and deepen their understanding of God’s word. The ministry equips women to be effective disciples. They are encouraged to be positive influences. Dr. Victoria Norgbe, a retired educationist and guest speaker, urged steadfast faith. She cautioned against seeking quick fixes from various churches. Instead, she advised a deeper relationship with God through prayer and obedience. Dr. Norgbe challenged women to show godly character. Integrity and humility are key, she said.

The convention included worship and prayer sessions. Biblical teachings were also part of the program. Participants focused on strengthening their spiritual lives. They prepared for greater service in church and society. Prayers were offered for families, communities, and the nation. The convention ended with renewed purpose. It reminded attendees that faith is a powerful force. It can drive transformation and progress, even during societal challenges. Future gatherings will likely continue these themes.
