Two Pupils Die, 40 Injured in School Bus Crash

Two pupils are dead and 40 others have been injured following a tragic school bus accident. The incident occurred on the Assin Homaho road involving a bus from Alice Elites Academy. The preparatory school is located in Assin Edubiase in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

The deceased include a young boy and a girl. They were among over 40 schoolchildren travelling when the crash happened. The Central North Regional Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) Commander, DSP Wonder Lumor, confirmed the casualties. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene. All 40 injured children were taken to local medical facilities. Twenty-two pupils went to St. Francis Xavier Hospital. The remaining eighteen were treated at the Assin Edubiase Health Centre.
